Born in Holland, raised in Spain and of Nigerian ascent, Famous Oberogo, more popularly known as “Famous”, is a talented singer and musician with remarkable vocal strength. In 2018, he won the 10th edition of Operación Triunfo, one of the most important music talent shows in Spain and throughout Latin America. In 2019, during the following months after the competition, Famous signed a deal with Universal Music, leading to his first official collaboration named “Time”, with Spanish producer and DJ Brian Cross.

In August of that same year, Famous released his second single, his solo debut called “Bulla,” which reached millions of plays and views on major streaming platforms and media outlets.

For his next release, “Hoy ya no”, that was his first single since his split from Universal Music, Famous tapped into the essence of his vocal strengths to once again showcase the powerful vocal range that make him one of the top talents in Spain. This was a complete change from his solo debut, and a subtle reminder of the level of versatility he possesses.

After this release, and now with his own label print, “World Famous Music”, in alliance with Bolstar, Famous decided to continue exploring different sounds and embarked on  a new adventure in his home country, Nigeria. A step that he described as “intriguing”.

The first official single from his Nigerian phase, “Pamela”, was released on November 20, 2020.

In 2021, he was chosen by Disney Spain to perform the theme song for their Christmas campaign story, “Si Habla el Amor”. 

Back in Spain, Famous starts a new stage in musical theatre by joining the cast of “The Lion King”, the famous play performed at the Lope de Vega theatre in Madrid, as vocal ensemble member and cover of Mufasa and Pumba.

He was recently selected by RTVE as one of the 18 participants in the Benidorm Fest, a contest that is held to choose the song that will represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, with his proposal “La Lola”, a song with a powerful base that mixes Latin and urban rhythms and in which you can also appreciate the Afro sounds that evoke his origins. The song is released on 19 December 2022.

In 2023, after his performance at Benidorm Fest, Famous releases his next single, “Quimera”, which will be released on 21 April.
